Having graduated from the Berlin Acting School “Ernst Busch”, Tom worked for a few years with “Homunkulus Figurentheater” in Berlin, and was part of the ensemble in Stadttheater Wismar und Seebüehne Hiddensee before he decided to become a freelance artist.
Traveling to festivals all over Europe, Tom worked for several years on the experimental project “Cyberpunch”, before moving to Danmark and becoming a father. He chose to combine being a puppet player with being a teacher for theatre and media. In 2023 Tom joined Bernd Ogrodnik’s “Academy of the Wooden Puppets” on Iceland in order to learn how to build puppets from wood and other materials.
Today Tom and the HANDGEIST company are located in the south of Denmark and Tom is a member of “Pavillon K” - a group of local artists working with different stage genres - in Vordingborg.
